The PTD International School offers the opportunity to teach English at a local school in Cambodia and support children from underserved communities in their education. By volunteering, you help improve students’ access to language skills that can open up future career opportunities.
As a volunteer, you will work alongside local teachers in classrooms with varying English levels. Your responsibilities include assisting in lessons, leading simple learning activities, and encouraging students to build confidence in using English. Creative ideas such as games, interactive exercises, and informal speaking practice are highly welcome.
No formal teaching experience is required, but patience, openness, and enthusiasm for working with children are important. The program also gives you valuable insight into the Cambodian school system and allows for meaningful cultural exchange.
Volunteers typically stay in an accommodation near the school. Upon their arrival, they receive an orientation covering local culture, the education system, and their role in the project.
Through your involvement, you contribute to improving educational opportunities and supporting children in developing essential skills for their future.
